2010 Alumni Weekend
Open to All Former Campers & Staf
f

On October 2&3, Camp Middlesex will host the second annual Alumni Weekend! The weekend will feature games and activities for all former campers and staff. Counselors from the summer of 2010 are running the event.

If you would like to come to Alumni Weekend, then you will need to RSVP before Monday, September 27th. (NOTE: At this time, we only have overnight space for teen girls or junior boys!) You can RSVP by e-mailing Director Steve LaFountain at: director@campmiddlesex.com. Please state whether you will be doing day or overnight.

Registration forms will be e-mailed to those that RSVP Steve before September 27th. The forms can then be mailed to the camp or hand delivered on the day of the event. No one will be allowed to stay if they have not RSVP’d before September 27th!

Check-in / Checkout Times:

  • Check-in for overnight campers will be at: 12:00pm at the bridge.
  • Check-in for day campers will be at 1:00pm at the bridge.
  • Check out for day campers will be at 9:00pm in Brown Hall.
  • Check out for overnight campers will be at noon on Sunday.

Who can stay overnight?
Only overnight campers that have been to camp during the 2010 camp season will be allowed to stay overnight. Overnight space is limited to the number of staff volunteering for the weekend, so be sure to RSVP early! CITs and former counselors/staff will not be allowed to stay over, and will asked to depart at 9:00pm.

Will meals be provided?
Yes, dinner and breakfast will be provided to all campers that attend the event.

What activities will there be?
There will be many social activities so that campers will get a chance to see their old friends and “hang-out.” The event will have a “Halloween Theme,” so there will be a few activities that are Halloween orientated. There will also be a couple of choice periods for campers to choose what activities they would like to participate in. There will also be a Video Masquerade Ball, where campers are encouraged to dress up for the special dance!

After dinner, the 2010 slideshow will be shown, and those campers staying over will head up to the campfire at 9:00pm. Lights out will be at 12:00pm.

What do I bring?
If staying for the day, bring your Halloween costume, as there will be a Masquerade Ball in the Rec. Hall right before dinner. Those staying overnight should bring all necessary accommodations for a one-night stay at camp (i.e. change of clothes). The pool is closed, so there will be no swimming.

How much does the weekend cost?
For those staying for the day, the cost will be $35. For those staying overnight, it will be $50. The event is a fundraiser for camp. All the staff are volunteering their time, and all money raised will be donated back to camp. DVD’s of the 2010 slideshow will be available for $15. The camp store will be open and selling some snacks for campers as well as camp merchandise.

Other Information:
Normal camp rules will be in effect! That means that campers staying will be expected to obey the buddy system and report their whereabouts to their counselors. Campers that do not follow the rules will be asked to leave the camp premises, and jeopardize their chance of returning to camp in the future.
