Camper Return Weekend!

Columbus Day Weekend 2016

Join us for the Camper Return Weekend!

Rain or shine, on October 8 & 9, Camp Middlesex will host the seventh annual Camper Return Weekend! The weekend will feature games and activities for all former campers and staff. Counselors from the summer of 2016 are running the event.

If you would like to come to the Camper Return Weekend, then you can register online through our online registration system by clicking here: Online Registration.

Space is limited, so be sure to register early!

Check-in / Checkout Times:
Check-in for campers will be at noon at the bridge on Saturday.
Check out for day campers will be at 8PM on Saturday.
Check out for overnight campers will be at noon on Sunday.

Who can stay overnight?
Anyone that has been a camper at camp can stay overnight. Overnight space is limited to the number of staff volunteering for the weekend, so be sure to RSVP early!

Will meals be provided?
Yes, dinner will be served on Saturday night, and breakfast on Sunday morning.

What activities will there be?
There will be many social activities so that campers will get a chance to see their old friends and “hang-out.” The event has a “Halloween Theme,” so there will be a few activities that are Halloween orientated. There will also be a couple of choice periods for campers to choose what activities they would like to participate in. There will also be a Masquerade Ball, where campers are encouraged to dress up for the special dance!

After dinner, the 2016 slideshow will be shown, and those campers staying over will head up to the campfire at 8:00pm. Lights out will be at 11:00pm.

What do I bring?
If staying for the day or overnight, bring your Halloween costume, as there will be a Masquerade Ball in the Rec. Hall right before dinner. Those staying overnight should bring all necessary accommodations for a one-night stay at camp (i.e. change of clothes). The pool is closed, so there will be no swimming.

How much does the weekend cost?
The cost is $75. The event is a fundraiser for camp. All the staff are volunteering their time, and all money raised will be place in the camp’s endowment fund. DVD’s of the 2016 slideshow will be available for $5. The camp store will be open and selling some snacks for campers.

Other Information:
Normal camp rules will be in effect! That means that campers staying will be expected to obey the buddy system and report their whereabouts to their counselors. Campers that do not follow the rules will be asked to leave the camp premises, and jeopardize their chance of returning to camp in the future.
